The challenge is to cycle 700 miles and 10,000 meters of climbing from Caen to Cannes over 8 days (19th to 26th August) with the iconic 1,912 meter climb of Mont Ventoux on the penultimate day.
Why is he is doing this? In short, George's dad Tim (who many of you will know as he is a regular supporter at our games both home and away) broke his neck and ribs (and a lot of other bones) whilst on a bike ride and had to be airlifted to hospital. He has now made a full recovery so George and the family want to give something back to the Air Ambulance Crewe that help save him.
The full story behind his reasons and the rest of the team can be found here
If you can help George and the team towards their target of £40,000 for the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance service and the Motor Neurone Disease Association they would greatly appreciate any contributions.
