Old Newton FC

Saturday saw the first and reserves in action with Friendlies against Grundisburgh and Halesworth Reserves.

The first team playing at home had a good run out and lost 3-0 to a very good Grundisburgh side who are a league above Newton so it was always going to be a good test for the lads.

The reserves traveled to Halesworth to open their run of friendlies. Having started slow for the first 20 minutes they went on to play some good football but unfortunately losing 3-2, goals coming from Lewis Rampley and Harry Knight .

This week sees the first team playing against Debenham on Tuesday 31st and then the A's returning to action on Thursday with a real test against Haughley Reserves, both games kicking off at 6.30.
