WHO WE ARE?
The Old Newtonians are a very successful local Rugby club with a strong tradition based on the Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest East. They were originally founded in 1904 by members of the Alderman Newton School and were reformed in June 1928.
We welcome players of ALL positions, ability and experience. Whether you are a seasoned player or novice there is a place for you.
WHAT WE DO?
The Old Newtonians currently run two senior adult teams every Saturday, the first team currently play in Midlands 4 East (South) and our 2nd XV in the Leicestershire Conference. We also field a Veterans side for players over 35 years old looking to continue playing friendly fixtures against sides of a similar standard.
To add to this the club also fields a regular Ladies XV on Sunday afternoons who play in the RFUW NC Midlands North 2 division.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU?
The club is well known throughout the region for being a very friendly and sociable club, which plays the game hard and then parties harder.
We also offer a advanced Level 2 professional club coach at all training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings providing players of ALL abilities and experience the opportunity to develop new skills or progress old ones. Along side this we often hold specialist sessions with RFU coaches and Q & A Sessions with professionally qualified referees.
We also have three of the best pitches in the county often playable when many others are not along with a separate floodlit training area within the club grounds.

WANT TO ATTEND A TRAINING SESSION?
If you would like to come along to training to see if we are what you are looking for then you are more than welcome to attend on the following times and days:
Senior Men's: Tuesdays & Thursdays - 19:00 til 20:30
Senior Ladies: Tuesdays - 19:00 til 20:30
[b]DONT HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT?
If you don't have your own transport then don't panic. Thankfully we are located on the A47, Hinckley Road which is very accessible by bus from both Leicester City Centre and Hinckley. The Arriva 158 runs between Leicester (St. Margaret's Bus Station) and Nuneaton (Nuneaton Bus Station) every 30 minutes and drops you off right outside the club.
