Mobbs Final
| ONs | 20 | vs | 5 | Bedford |
ONs U11 win the EMMJRA title
After conceding an early score, ONs go on to dominate Bedford in a display of powerful rugby
ONs were under some pressure for the first 6 or 7 minutes of this encounter at Franklins Gardens and conceded a soft try as the Bedford scrum half exploited a gap round the ruck to dive over.
But this teams defence has really developed and they were not threatened seriously again, despite giving away a few needless penalties for going off their feet. And when MOTM Tyler put Sam into a small space, that's all Sam needed - a step and powerful run left Bedford's defence in tatters and their players trailing in his wake.
The second half saw ONs turn up the heat on a Bedford side who battled bravely but whose attacks came to nothing against some immense tackling from ONs. Matt crashed over for the second try and then sustained pressure on the Bedford line saw Will Tipler pick up from the base of a ruck and go in low from two yards out. Three tries to one up and ONs were in total control - Tyler's final interception and run in was the icing on the cake.
20-5 final score to ONs was a fair reflection of a great game of rugby. To be fair, Bedford played a good style of rugby and should be proud of themselves but ONs were not in the mood to miss out on their second successive Mobbs triumph.
Well done lads - we're all proud of you.
Squad: DANIEL ADAMS; ROBERT ADAMS; ISAAC CHRISTIE-FIDOE; SAM CONNOR; SAM DONALD; SAM HARRIS; MAX HARRISON; LUKE JELLEY; TYLER MILLS; MAX MURRELL; DANIEL NEWSWAY; MATTHEW PARRY; OSCAR PRIESTMAN; CHRIS RICHES; SOLOMON TAYLOR; WILL TIPLER; PADDY WALSH; OWEN WARD
