Nine ONs under 15s girls were recently invited to trial for the Midlands Academy (the highest representative level at this age group). Anna Usteran Anderegg, Lauren Alouini, Izzy Hannay, Katherine Stevens, Amelia Tutt, Amelia Surridge, Izzy Hobbs, Sophie Jones and Paris Mcmahon were invited to Loughborough Universitys 4G facility for the trial after shining for the East Midlands. All The girls should be congratulated for getting that far. Following the trial, four girls were selected for this years academy - Sophie, Paris, Izzy Hannay and Amelia Surridge and they'll have some tough weekends ahead with three training camps planned.
Three girls, Anna, Lauren and Amelia T. were unlucky not to complete the trial due to injury and despite trialing well, Izzy Hobbs and Katherine were unlucky not to be selected. Judging by yesterday's performance against Harpenden, the girls have managed to channel their disappointment and the away team felt their wrath. (The Midlands loss is O.N.s gain!)
