Instructions

Dear Rugby Players, Coaches & Supporters
We look forward to welcoming you all to the Long Buckby RFC Rugby Festival at Station Road on Sunday 22nd April.
Due to poor weather in March our U10-12 festival was cancelled, hence we have decided to host all the Mini age group on one day. Parking will be at the village railway car park (Postcode:
NN6 7QA), the village will be a busy place so please allow plenty of time for your journey.
For directions to find our club please click on the hyperlink below:

Parking- There will be free of charge parking @ the railway station car park, this will be sign posted, with volunteers directing the traffic. The club house is a 5 min walk from the car park.
For coaches who will be bringing kit and tents etc., there will be limited spaces available to park in the club car park. This will also be the disabled car parking area, available to those who display an official car sign. The local council in recent times have marked many of the local roads with double yellow lines, any cars parked on these run a high risk of a parking fine, so be warned.
Please help us, by parking responsibly at the railway station car park, (Postcode NN6 7QA). Entry into the Festival will be £3 per family, which will be paid at the gates upon entering. The gates will open at 9.00am. From 9.15am bacon rolls, tea/coffee will be available to purchase from the club house (upstairs in the main bar area). A BBQ will be cooking hotdogs and burgers from 10.30am onwards, with all players (wearing their kit on the day) able to purchase either for £1. Tea’s & coffee and a selection of cakes etc. will also be available. Registration will be open from 9.30am the registration team will be in a marquee beside the
age group playing pitches, marquee will have a LBRFC flag beside it.
Toilet facilities Male toilets are in the changing rooms, ladies’ toilets are located upstairs in the club house.
Professional First Aid cover will be available throughout the event.

As with most festivals we ask the coaches to referee. We all appreciate that this is not an easy task. Please respect the referee’s decisions, we are all volunteers, and our sport
does rely on integrity, but we are all capable of making mistakes. More importantly coaches should set the standards that parents should follow; we are all ambassadors for our sport.
Within each age group the lead coach from Long Buckby RFC will get all referees & coaches together next to the age group pitches, prior to their section kicking off to clarify any issues you or others may have.
Due to the new Age Group, non-competitive guidelines, there will not be any central scoring, with all teams having equal number of matches, using a round robin format.
Matches start at 10.30am. With a referee briefing pitch side for each age group at 10.15am. We have plenty of space so will run multiple pitches so that waiting time is kept to a minimum.
Every participating player will receive a medal, once the games are completed.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that we are blessed with good weather and we are all treated to a great day of rugby from all teams. We look forward to welcoming you and your players to Long Buckby RFC on the 22nd April
Kind regards
Dylan Roberts
