Port Moody School from Canada were on tour to the UK and following their boys match against NSB their girls took on ON's U18's in a 7 a side match under the floodlights at NSB.
The Canadian Girls had strong direct runners who battered into the ON's defence, but were unable to match the pace of the ON's back line. ON's go the ball out early on to allow Ella a run at her opposite number, who she outpaced to score the first of her 4 tries on the evening. This was followed by a quick mid field break and length of the pitch run by Gina to score the second. The Candians bounced back with their first try through good continuity.
Scores were then swapped but there always remained a 10 point gap. The hard running of the Canadians, combined with a firm pitch led to ON's losing both their props (which put Tori and Hayley both out of Sunday's league match)and the game went to uncontested scrums.
ON's eventually stretched away in the last few minutes for the score to finish 35-15.
This was followed by food and presentations in the NSB Pavillion and a lively party into the night for some!
