Conditions were near perfect at St Marys University ground on Saturday as Street kicked off against Harlequins.
All 17 players put in a magnificent shift to come out on top 19-14 for an Old Street win! .

Street scored two early tries to shock the significant Quins' contingent and thereafter fought for everything as the Quins squad of 23 slowly ground its way back into the match.

Quins second converted try in the second half saw them take the lead for the first time ‎and they sensed victory. The men in red and blue were having none of it. A flash of brilliance by Patrick Donegan showed why some believe him to be the greatest back ever to have played for the club as he cut down the right flank beating several players before feeding his 9 who did the business to get round and score under the posts. Not a backward step was taken as Old Street closed out the game as professionally as their opposition's first XV would have done at the Stoop.

A great day in Old Street history. Special mention to R Hay who played most of the game at prop in a scrum that was as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar and whose first game for Old Street was 25 years ago.

The Final awaits this band of brothers. ‎Legendary.
