The Wheats travel to Pershore this Saturday after 2 weekends without a 1st XV game. Wheats sit top of the league with 5 wins from 5 games and will look to make it 6 from 6 against a tough Pershore side. Pershore sit in 3rd place, playing a game more than Wheats, winning 2 and losing 4. The games they have lost they have picked up both losing bonus points and try bonus points.
Team News
Wheats name a very strong squad, after some great numbers at training and lots of players wanting to play 1st XV rugby. This makes selection extremely hard for the coaches, with is always a good thing. Ben Craig comes into the front row alongside hooker Alan Beauchamp and captain Liam McCrea. Dean Beauchamp partners the ever present James Fisher in the row. Back row is yet again really strong with James Przybek, Ryan McSorley and Charlie Hands set to line up.
Some changes in the back line from last time out against Rugeley. Richard Lowe starts at 9 with Clark McCallum at fly half. A first appearance of the season for strong running centre Huw Edwards and a return from injury for top try scorer James Hancox sets up a strong partnership in midfield. A familiar looking back 3 for the Wheats with Steven Pahal and Jamie Hutton on the wings with Gareth Windsor at fullback.
Wheats bench looks incredibly strong this week with lads who will make big impacts on the game.
Coaches Corner
Selection this week has been the hardest it's been in the 3 seasons I've been at the club. Which is great for the us but has given myself and Kai real headaches with selection.
We have had great numbers at training with lads putting their hand up for selection.
Mark Rawlings comes onto the bench after recovering from an injury and 2 strong showings in the Stags.
The list of lads unlucky to miss out is vast and if they keep training like they are, it will make selection even harder.

Kick off has been moved to 14:15 throughout the winter. Pershore is just under an hour trip away but all support is greatly appreciated.
