Just thought it appropriate to drop a message to all Ordsall Rangers JFC members to introduce ourselves. Rich Moss and I want to ensure that the club survives and ultimately thrives. However, we cannot do this alone. As you should have seen from the Ordsall Rangers Facebook page (which you have hopefully liked and shared), we have a new treasurer, two new directors and a media/advertising post. But we are really...really short of willing helpers and volunteers.

Grass cutting and pitch marking is carried out by the council (for which the club is charged) however the following are not;

Hedge trimming and maintenance around the cabins,
Cleaning of the changing rooms including toilets,
Tea bar operator,
Fund raising

And these are a minimum.

The club had an annual expenditure for the last financial year of circa £9000 (the accounts are yet to be agreed and filed). At the moment the club has only 4 teams definitely registered to compete in the upcoming 2017-2018 season which translates to a contribution of £2,250 from each team if there is no funding from external sources (sponsors/fund raising etc). This does not include the extra costs such as referee/astro turf charges.

We hope this does not sound too much doom and gloom......but it is the reality of the situation. If we do not work together then Ordsall Rangers Juniors may cease to exist at the end of this season.

SO WE NEED TO ACT NOW
