A good win for Clintons lads in a fairly brutal game that kept Pinderfields busy. Ed Ellis in only his 2nd open age game continued to impress but had an unfortunate injury requirng 9 stitches to his eyelid (see photo). Dave Duncan and Sam Armstrong also continue to show what they are capable of and we hope these youngsters are down next season as Im they will be key members of the 1st XV.

However it was veteran Gary Haywood who won man of the match for a typical workman ike performance from the ever reliable hooker. Joe Woof also was carted off to hospital with a knee injury and we wish him the best and hope he is back for the start of next season.

Next week

We hope to get two teams out for the last game of the season but early signs are suggesting we may be struggling and may just have to play one game. Let Clinton or me know by 7pm on Monday and we will make a decison.

Strongman Training

Neil (Junction Gym) apologises for Thursday. He had flu and forgot to ring me to cancel the training. He has promised he will be there this week. We are still having a session on Monday and Thursday 7:15 - 8:15.
