Good weekend for Ossett
A double win for Ossett this Saturday. The 2nd XV took revenge on Aireborough with a comprehensive 66-0 win. By all accounts a superb team performance (match report to follow). The 2nd XV have now worked their way up to mid table (7th) in the Merit League.
The 1st XV recorded thier 3rd win in 4 league games beating Knaresborough 30-15. The 1st XV now move up to 6th (our highest ever finishing position in Yorks 4).
Well done to all involved.
Player Of the Year
The club player of the year is determined by a points system. To be player of the year you need to have good training record, play regularly and perform to high standards. A point is awarded for every match played, every training session attended and match points are awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis.
The award can be won by a 1st XV or 2nd XV player - it is a "club award".

Players Charter.
Just a reminder of the Players Charter that all players agreed at the start of the season. A season is a year long campaign. If you start the season it is expected that you finish the season. Obviously injuries, moving house, new work circumstances etc may sometimes prevent this from happening but this is something that we have agreed is important to the club and should committ to. It is not only disruptive for players to leave midway through the season - it is also bad for club morale.

Your overall position is determined by your total points divided by games played thus moving us above Aireborough.
