New Players Welcome
Ossett RUFC – Your club needs you!
Ossett RUFC are looking for new and/or experienced players to join the club for next season. Ossett currently runs two teams. The 1st XV play in the Yorkshire 4 league and the 2nd XV play in a West Yorkshire Merit League. We train twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. All players are welcome – enthusiasm and commitment more important than playing experience.
More than just a club!
Ossett RUFC prides itself on having a warm and welcome family atmosphere and vibrant social scene. Throughout the year there are numerous social events that are well attended by the players and their families including a veteran’s tournament in Jersey, Valentines dinner for wives and girlfriends, children’s Christmas party, annual camping trip to the Masham Beer Festival, numerous summer BBQs, race nights and other charity events like The Three Peak’s Challenge. There is also an annual overseas club tour. In recent years the club has toured to Portugal, Finland, Belgium and Spain.
On a week to week basis the players will convene at Ossett Cricket Club for food and drinks after each game and every Thursday night in the Tap after training.
