Ossett RUFC is now recruiting for the 2016–17 season. We are a friendly local club where the first team play in Yorkshire Four and the league winning second team play in the Aire/Wharfe West Merit League. Whether you have never played rugby before or are a seasoned veteran you will be made to feel welcome by all.

Starting from this Tuesday (24th) at 7Pm we will be running strength and endurance sessions down on our training pitch which is located behind Ossett Albion FC. We use a variety of gym equipment and rugby specific training techniques to build up the strength and overall fitness required for the upcoming season. Thursdays we will be having touch and pass down on the training field. This starts at 7.30Pm and is open for everyone to come and play. There will be showers open afterwards along with the bar! We have our own gym down at Ossett Albion which is normally frequented by members of the club in the two hours or so before each session.

This will run for roughly four weeks until pre-season training starts and a rugby ball will be introduced, and most likely the hill at Thornes park for a bit of added resistance!

With an active social side to the club with events throughout the year you’re sure to enjoy your time down at our club.

The club’s Annual General Meeting is taking place on 23rd June 2016 and is a great opportunity for everyone to come down and have their say on how your club is run.
