Steve is 4th from the right on the back row of the team photo.

Steve joined Albion in 1980 when Peter Young was the manager of the Club. He also played under the managership of Philip Ingham, Tony Gavin and John Ogilvie.
He made his full debut on 11th October 1980 in the 1-1 home draw with Hall Road Rangers in Division 2 of the Yorkshire League.
He scored his first goal for Albion on 15th November 1980 in the 3-2 League victory away at Thorne Colliery.
In 1980-1981 he helped the Club to the Championship of Division 2 of the Yorkshire League and so they gained promotion to Division 1.
In 1981-1982 he was the Club's second highest goalscorer when he netted 15 goals.
