Ossett Albion 1 - 0 Hinckley United
A well-deserved win for Albion was gained through a tremendous first-time volley from Kurtis Noble and a hard-working team effort.
Hinckley started to pressurise Albion straight from the kick-off and the defending looked a little desperate at times. Nevertheless Albion weathered the storm and gradually settled into the match and started to play some good football.
Hinckley relied too much on the long ball over the top andd didn't really create much after the opening encounters.
Albion began to create some chances and just after the half-hour a deep cross from the left was vollied home by Kurtis Noble. They then looked fairly comfortable dealing with Hinckley's attacks and went in at the interval with their lead intact.
The second half saw Hinckley begin to build the pressure again and for a brief spell Albion were driven back and defended too deeply. They held out and started to create chances again and should have sealed the match. Instead the gave their supporters a nervous time towards the end.
This was a great team effort and they thoroughly deserved to go through to meet Bradford P.A. away in the 4th Qualifying Round on the 20th October.
