Albion won 3 - 1 away at Clitheroe.

Rob Bordman scored 2 goals, one from the penalty spot, and Connor Brunt got the other.

(Report by Matthew Doyle)

Clitheroe started the match well by forcing a few corners but it was Ossett Albion who took the lead when in the 8th minute Connor Brunt ran onto a through ball and evaded the last ditch defensive tackles of both defender Heywood and Keeper James, to round the keeper and tap into the empty net. That goal turned the game on its head and it was the visitors who were now in charge of the game.

Clitheroe needed a bit of luck to get back into the game and in the 27th minute they got their luck when Rob Bordman passed the ball back to the keeper from the halfway line, the keeper took a swing at the ball and completely missed the ball and despite the keeper's best attempts to keep the ball out he could not prevent a Clitheroe equaliser. Clitheroe then had two chances in the space of two minutes, the first came when Sefton Gonzales raced into the box and his powerful drive was well saved by the Ossett Albion keeper and then Chris Lynch hit a thunderous strike from 20 yards that hit the base of the post.
Ossett Albion were then awarded a penalty on the 35th min after the referee spotted blues defender Chris Lynch pulling down Rob Bordman in the box. Bordman then picked himself up and confidently stroked the penalty home to give Ossett Albion a 1-2 lead at Shawbridge.
Half time: Clitheroe 1-2 Ossett Albion.
There were very few chances in the second half but Clitheroe managed to carve out one big chance in the 81st min when Simon Garner's scuffed shot found its way to second half substitute Kurt Willoughby and his volley from 6 yards out hit the post.
Ossett Albion sealed the win in the final minutes of the game when the excellent Rob Bordman chipped the keeper from the edge of the box. A classy goal for a very classy performance by both Bordman and Ossett Albion.
