This match was played in constant heavy rain which made it difficult for the either side to play good football. Nevertheless the first half did produce some play of quality but it was nothing when compared to the second half when Albion made the most of their extra man.
Clitheroe started the brighter and created some good moves but were unable to find a finish.
Albion held on and made the breakthrough just before the half-hour mark when their Player/Chairman Dominic Riordan headed a near-post corner past Benjamin Woodhead in the Clitheroe goal.
Albion doubled their lead when the ball fell to Connor Brunt who was unmarked in front of goal, and he made no mistake. Things got heated then when Clitheroe's Simon Garner was sent off for a second bookable offence, shortly to be followed by team-mate Louis Mayers and then Albion's George Green who had only just come on as a substitute.
With things settling down, Albion relaxed too much and allowed Clitheroe to get a goal back
through Sefton Gonzales.
Once the home side had regained their 2-goal advantage through Rob Bordman, they began to run riot and got further goals from Nicky Matthews and Luke Porritt . Inevitably it was Bordman who finished things off with a penalty in the last minute of the match
