The 2017 season has finally ended , thankfully with plenty of positives. There has also been a lot of background activity in respect of future planning. I am delighted to announce that Dan Busfield is our new club captain and is solely responsible for all 1st team affairs. Dan is well known and respected within the cricketing family and I am confident he will do a first class job. Dan is officially being assisted by John Sadler, Harvey Anderson and Dave Sadler.

They have two objectives;
a) To see Ossett c c back in the top flight in the not too distant future and
b)To bring back the old Ossett C C culture off the field , namely after games and through more collective , social activities.

In other news, Dave Sadler has accepted the role of Vice Chairman. This is a very important role as Dave's experience and knowledge will help myself to continue to raise the clubs profile, improve facilities, improve the culture and bring success on the playing front.

I am keen for all players and supporters to meet up with myself, Dan and Dave at an informal get together. Please can as many as possible come to the club Friday 13th October 7.30 ish for a few beers and a chat , followed by a visit round the pubs of Ossett .
