Let us have your ideas for the new seasons programme, we are wanting all readers of the programme to get involved to give it a complete new feel.
What would you like to see?

Interviews with ex players about their time at the club, appeareces/goals, favorite games etc.

Tried to do somthing a couple of years ago, did one with Alan Barker which I may have somewhere, never got of the ground though. No one was interested and I have no contacts.

If you find it Neil just email me it on commercial@ossetttown.co.uk.

Hopefully this is the start of a landslide of ideas from the forum readers.

Not been able to find it yet.

I certainly think the programme needs more in it, I certainly stopped buying them as they were little more than adverts.

That said I cannot begin to imagine how time consuming/expensive they are to produce.

Good luck!

As the previous programme editor, your hands are tied a fair bit with the programme as the league dictate that a large amount of advert content for the various league sponsors are included. More adverts are then required to cover some of the costs of the programme. You HAVE to include opponents history and pen pictures. The commercial manager requires his list of sponsers are included, then league tables and fixtures/results. Not a lot of room left and of course you may have to produce 3 programmes in 8 days.

Hi Bruce,

I know its always a juggling act, but the one thing we have on our side is we have a printer onboard who is willing to print for free. If we plan the programme out correctly and spread the adverts between the club info I hope it will be a good read for all.

Do we stick with The Ingfielder or change the name?

Ingfielder works for me, but who knows the grounds as Ingfield anymore. Love that name personally.

Its always good to have the managers page, also perhaps a view from the committee room and what is happening about the new stadium. Match reports less pages about sponsorship - they look like adverts. Pen pictures of new signings and news of former players.

Agree with that, Bruce.
