“It is a great point in the season, we can use this cup run and build on it now for the rest of the season. I felt it was a great cup tie, went toe-to-toe with a National League side and more than matched them. With a few decisions going differently who know what might have been”.
“The lads loved playing in front of such a big crowd, hopefully the people of Ossett enjoyed it too and saw what we are about. I believe with the team and results we have had over the last 18 months we should have bigger crowds on a regular basis, this would really help the lads and the club as a whole. Hopefully Tuesday night is a catalyst for that”.
“It was great seeing so many youngsters there with their parents and mates, I met one youngster, Thomas, after the game. He’d got his Dad to buy him a shirt and was going round after the match getting the lads to sign it. He was buzzing, and can’t wait to come back”.
Thomas will get to see Ossett Town next in action on Saturday 21 October as Evo-Stik North League leaders Bamber Bridge visit Ingfield for a 3pm kick-off.
