Post Title: Commercial Manager
Remuneration: Commission only (self employed basis) – terms to be agreed
Reporting to: Executive Committee
Main Contacts: Members of the Business Community - local/regional/national, Supporters, Community Representatives.
Hours of Work: To be determined by Commercial Manager

AIM AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The key responsibility is increasing revenue streams for the football club, including selling perimeter boards, programme advertisements and match & player sponsorships. Furthermore, the Commercial Manager will seek to boost income with current advertisers as well as secure new business.

MAIN DUTIES

• To generate income for Ossett Town Football Club through the sale of ground advertising.
• To generate income for Ossett Town Football Club through the sale of match, ball & player sponsorships; and programme advertising.
• Undertake commercial activities as directed by nominated officials of the Club with a view to increasing revenue streams.
• To prepare monthly written reports, on commercial activities and projections, for presentation to the Executive Committee.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Minimum Essential Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most, if not all, of the following qualities:

Skills/Knowledge
• The ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to complete financial projection reports.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of sales and marketing practices.
• Computer literate
• Innovative ideas associated with income generation on behalf of Ossett Town Football Club.
• Car and full driving license.

Experience/Qualifications/Training
• Previous commercial experience.
• Previous sales and marketing experience.
• Previous IT experience.

Work related circumstances
• A flexible approach to working hours will be required.
• Duties to be carried out in close liaison with the Management Committee.
