This evening we host National League North side Bradford Park Avenue, kick-off is 7.30pm.

Despite yesterday evenings game being called off by North Ferriby United this is still Town’s second of four games in seven days as pre-season hots up and the fight for places in Grant Black’s squad continues.

One new comer is former Frickley Athletic and Bottesford Town player, Jake Quickenden who told his near half a million Twitter followers that he would be wearing the red of Ossett Town for the first time tonight.

While victories are always important for confidence, at this stage of the year Black will be looking out for players who will fit in with the squad that was expertly put together last season, and he knows playing a side two divisions will be tough, it will also tell him which of the new recruits are going to be strong enough to sign for the Reds.

BPA were our fourth opponents in our inaugural Northern Premier League season in 1999, and as so often happened in the most recent 15 meetings between the two sides BPA came out on top.

Supporters at Ingfield will be hoping for an exciting game this evening, a repeat of the result in 2010 wouldn’t be popular with either defence, but seeing a 6-4 result would certainly keep supporters on their toes!

Admission for the 7.30pm kick-off is:

  • £5 adults
  • £3 concessions
  • £1 u16s
