Darren France named as coach

John Reed has quickly moved to add to his backroom staff by bringing in Darren France, someone he knows well and worked with as recently as this season at Scarborough Athletic.

Darren will add to the wealth of knowledge and experience that Reed and assistant Clive Freeman bring to the club with Reed saying “Daz is a fantastic addition to the team, he is well liked wherever he has been and will be very popular in the dressing room. He has an infectious personality and a fantastic network that will be invaluable foe Ossett Town”.

46 year old France started his career at Sheffield United before spells at North Ferriby, Hull City and Doncaster, where he played with Clive Freeman, as well as spells abroad at Belgium side Mouscron and Voicelink in Hong Kong.

The three men will work closely together as look to bring the squad together for the remainder of the season as the club looks to finish as high up the Evo-Stik league as possible. Work has also already begun on planning for next season as arrangements are being made for the first friendlies of the 2014/2015 season.
