Evo-Stik First Division North Play-Off Final Saturdya 29 April, 3pm

In a season of unbelievable and unexpected highs, Ossett Town travel the short distance to Farsley Celtic on Saturday to contest the final promotion place from the Ev0-Stik First Division North.

The home side, who finished second in the table, are odds on to achieve promotion, something that they looked likely to do until Easter Monday when these two sides last met with Town coming out with a 2-0 victory.

That day Farsley were without 49 goal James Walshaw who is now back from suspension and with Lewis Nightingale providing him with the ammunition it is no wonder Town manager has said Farsley are the best side in the league this season.

Much has been made of Town doing the double over The Celts this season, but that is as irrelevant to this fixture as the previous twelve fixtures between that Farsley did not taste defeat after they reformed.

Grant Black, who has named the same starting XI for the last eight games has a fully fit squad to select from as do Farsley Celtic with the exception of Alex Davidson who has missed a large chunk of the season with injury.

Town will go into this game with the only pressure on them that which they put on themselves, Farsley Celtic have been one of the favourites for promotion ever since the first ball was kicked back in August.

Ossett Town have, however, rarely failed this season when the odds are stacked against them, Grant Black has given the supporters plenty of reason to believe the unexpected is there to be achieved.
