Evo-Stik Division One North, Play-Off Semi Final Tuesday 25 April, 7:45pm

What we have achieved so far would not have been possible without the support of the backslappers and all members of staff around the club, most noticeably in the last two games and it's something the boys and I appreciate greatly
- Alex Peterson

Captain Alex Peterson believes Ossett Town deserve their place in the Evo-Stik Play-Off’s, especially after beating then league leaders Farsley Celtic on Easter Monday “however with this season continuing its form of twist and turns it meant we still needed a point from our last game of the season, at home against Trafford” he told INGFIELDER.

“As ever we went into the game full of confidence, going for all 3 points, determined not to let the occasion or the importance of the game affect us”.
“We knew Trafford, a well organised stacking team, would throw everything at us. But with one of the best defences in the league we knew we could weather anything that came our way, all the while having full confidence that we would create chances and score a vital goal”.

“After Ty's goal and conceding a late header in extra time, the ref blew up and we had secured a place in the play offs”!

“People and teams have tried to belittle the achievement and have said how we may have over done the celebrations, but we were just enjoying the moment and are proud at what we have achieved so far”.

“The commitment and team spirit showed in that game epitomised everything we have done this season and is the reason why have been able to achieve what we have so far in this season. And the lads will be carrying all that and more into the next and our biggest game of the season against Scarborough Athletic”.

“Scarborough have finished the season on a great run of form and we are fully aware of the task we are up against. But we have been the underdog all year and it's something that motivates us greatly, nobody wanted/expected us to get in the play offs and we have proved many people wrong, we will be doing our very best to do the same on Tuesday as we have done all season against the 'bigger' clubs in this league”.

“What we have achieved so far would not have been possible without the support of the backslappers and all members of staff around the club, most noticeably in the last two games and it's something the boys and I appreciate greatly. And in order for us to take this season past Tuesday night we will need as many Ossett Town Fans at the game as possible”.
