The Brewers won last time out with a 2-1 victory over Ossett Albion in the Integro League Cup, their first victory of August after suffering defeats to Glossop North End in the FA Trophy and Skelmersdale United in the Evo-Stik North. They picked up a point in their league game at Colwyn Bay.
Danny Frost, Carl Steward and Jake Ellam have all left the i2i Stadium in recent weeks but still have an impressive squad to call upon with the likes of Andy Milne, Sam Akeroyd, Conor Sellers and Aiden Savory to call upon.
Grant Black is looking forward to the game and says “Tadcaster are a dangerous side, with lots of quality all over the pitch. We go into the game on the back of a defeat so we want a response”.
“But in saying that the performance on Saturday was up there with the best we have had, we created so many chances we could have won two games so there was not a lot of negativity, apart from the result of course”.
“We’re now looking forward to concentrating on the Evo-Stik League. We’ve enjoyed the cups this season but now want to show we are a team that can challenge for the top six on a consistent basis, our focus can now be purely on trying to achieve this goal”.
Black will have assistant manager Steve Ridley available for selection after he sat out on Saturday due to suspension, Corey Gregory will serve the last of his suspension this evening.
