I would like to extend my apologies to Reece Welsh for the challenge that caused his injury last Saturday.

The ball was there to be won, and admittedly I went in with a tough challenge, but I can honestly say that I intended no harm to Reece, it was a complete accident; I was absolutely gutted I’d done that to another player.

After trying to get in touch with Reece through Radcliffe Borough, to visit him or give him a call, it has become clear that neither wish to speak to me. I respect both Radcliffe and Reece's wishes; this is the only way I can extend my sincerest of apologies, which I am very keen to do.

I wish Reece all the best in his recovery.
