Hours after Smith put pen to paper Sam Akeroyd joined the club from NCEL side Garforth Town. The tough tackling midfielder will face a late fitness test before John Reed can select him this evening.

Following the weekend’s game Connor Bower has been released by the club, replacing him, is a face well known to Ossett Town fans, Ryan Williams.

Williams joined the club in February 2014 scoring in his first two appearances against New Mills and Cammell Laird.

23 year old Williams has been at Frickely Athletic for the first part of the season and has been a regular in the Premier Division sides squad.
