All the news from Coach Hagger

Before I start, I really need a new profile pic haha but that will have to wait.

Back to rugby, So after winning the league in the winter season this summer season for me holds big possibilities because the lads want it more because they don't want to be a one season wonder you so often see. In the first 3 weeks we saw a few players leave to go play conference with our neighbours the Shaw Cross Sharks which on paper you look and think it would of hampered us.

However the lads shook it off and a little recruitment with Craig Colbeck returning from Cutsyke is a welcomed addition back in the ranks, another big signing who is back with us is Josh Ellis whom I have been chasing as a coach for 4 years or so I am happy to finally have him and with a few more players coming to the club and waiting debut it is looking good for a another tilt at the top.

So first 3 weeks, I personally think we have made a statement with 2 wins over 2 quality teams in Cutsyke (54-0) and Leeds Akkies (29-28), then last week a 42-14 demolition of an unknown quantity in Farnley Falcons. We have definitely started where we want to be. I am not one to do predictions nor look too far past the next game but signs are good for a few years to come with the youngsters we have.

On the Injury front we still have Wayne Hartley out which is a blow to us, waiting to hear from the specialist to see how long he is out but Wayne has stated he would love to be back and in contention to face his former club (Thornhill) in the final of the local cup should both of us get there. Also Craig A Colbeck is still away on rehabilitation of his knee but he is gaining strength all the time so fingers cross he is back towards back end of the season.

We have 2 games now in 5 days with Allerton tomorrow (Sat 13th) and the Crigglestone on the Thursday 1915ko we are going to need all players and supporters available. The games at home and if you can get down please do and support the Tigers cause these 2 games could stand us in good stead for the season.

As always Up The Tigers
