Skipper on the night Roman tosses the ball to Sam D. with Pool requiring just 1 run for victory, their batsman take a single off the first delivery and the Pool supporters erupted. Sam held his nerve and with his 3rd delivery took the decisive wicket that took 8 runs from the Pool total, a four off the 5th delivery took the game to a nervy end, but a swing and a miss later and the victory was sealed. Sam took man of the match with bowling of 3 overs - 9 runs - 2 wickets and an excellent knock of 18 not out. His batting partner Toby had the innings of the match with an excellent 22 not out and bowling figures 2 overs - 11 runs - 1 wicket. Mackenzie and Oliver both showed their hitting ability, and all the runs were needed as the six wickets lost were devastating to the score of 302. The whole team however won the match eventually with moments of brilliance and concentration in the field, notably Roman and Sam diving full length at speed to stop boundaries, and David walking in preventing any singles on the short boundary, all of which saved the runs that would have given Pool the victory. A match that had the large crowd on their feet applauding at the finish and the players of both teams knowing they had been involved in an epic - well done to all,
