Bit too close, but a good 6 to start
Huntley stars with bat as 2nds make perfect start
Hosting Olicanians on a soggy deck last year saw Otley skittled for 90 in the lowest point of the season, and Trevs side were determined to start 2012 in better touch.
Winning the toss helped as Trev stuck the visitors in, Blister soon getting Oli's 20/2 with help from a stunning catch from Malfoyd. The silver haired Ray Charles was swinging it miles and testing Beefy down the legside, backed up by the grizzler teasing Jamie, testing the batsmen. Soon they were 3 down when the grizzler struck:) Ravenelli took a rest and Pan came on. Jamie had a blow and some rank slogging got Oli's well into 3 figures before Mullers came on. A hyde and jeckall 1st over disguised 3 late wickets to leave the OCC chasing 166 to win.
Wolfy and Freddie came and went leaving Malf to chase the target with Gruntley. These 2 looked settled and patiently put on 45 before Malf tried to clear the ropes but doesn't quite have the guns yet. Pan and Grunts put another 60 on as Otley were in complete control prompting the skipp to quote "this is a critical part of the game". Obviously this brought on a spate of wickets for the visitors as Pan, Trev, Beefy and Grunts all went leaving Mullers and Reg Hollis to see us home. Reg got out though so Blister went in a duly hit a 4, and started to shake hands until he realised the scores were only level. So he hit the next ball for 4!
A patchy display by Otley but 6 points is all that matters. Harden away next
