The game started off very scrappy, stereotypical of pre season. Hersham took the lead with their first attempt after a mistake at the back and the Striker cooly rounded the keeper and finished. Ottershaw struggled to get going and eventually found their feet 10 minutes before half time when the formation was changed to 4-5-1. Route one was the way to the first goal after a long drop kick from O'Sullivan found Jake Taylor who slotted past the keeper. The second half was a different story and Ottershaw began to take control of the game playing some great football but sometimes lacking the final ball. The second came from a deflected Webb free kick that the keeper was unable to keep out. Ottershaw began to take further control and after more missed efforts, Taylor sealed the win after good work from Francis, a low finish from 6 yards out. Next week we play Ripley Reserves.
