A look back....
In September 2016, the whole of Oxfordshire Cricket was saddened by the death of 'Mr Nondescripts' - Chris Bishop.
Chris Bishop was a much loved figure in Oxfordshire Cricket, everyone knew his name and he had time for anyone. Whether it was aspiring youngsters or seasoned cricketers, Chris left an amazing impression on them all.
Chris has a long time association with Nondies of well over 50 years and during that time has been a player, captain, committee member, club secretary and umpire. 'Bish' also played a key role in the merger with Bletchington helping secure the future of the club.
He was a huge supporter of local cricket and managed Oxfordshire's Colts for over 20 years.
He was member of the Cherwell League committee, typically selflessly giving his time to help promote the local game despite his illness.
Chris also receive the Umpires Award from the Cherwell League after years of service in recognition of his fantastic contribution.
In 2016, the Oxfordshire Over 50s B team, that he managed, won the Southern Counties Championship.
Chris was passionate about our club and about local cricket. He gave so much time, energy and support to everyone and will be hugely missed by all of us.
The 2017 season saw the unveiling of our new club clock in his memory.
The unveiling was performed by Chris's wife Ann. The clock is something that will remain at the heart of the club, just as Chris was, seen by everyone. It also ensures that his contribution will never be forgotten.
