Oxford Social 9's will be staged at Oxford Rugby Club, North Hinksey this Saturday from 12, midday. And we're inviting the Rugby clubs of Oxford to join in!

With the weekend's Round 2 Rugby League Conference game against Wiltshire Wyverns now cancelled, the Cavaliers are keen to maintain the momentum gained off the back of recent success at the South West 9's, and a strong opening round against Gloucestershire Warriors.

The Cavaliers are also keen to establish close links with Rugby Union clubs throughout Oxfordshire, and extend the invite to any teams looking either to try their hand at Rugby League, or just to have fun.

Cavaliers Chairman John Connaughton called on all clubs in the area to "Join in the fun".

"It's a perfect opportunity for local rugby clubs to meet some new people, enjoy an afternoon of rugby, and introduce themselves to Rugby League in a friendly and relaxed environment".

So come on down, enjoy a BBQ in the sun, a beer in the club bar, and some social rugby. And don't worry if you're plan is to watch the afternoon's Heineken Cup Final between Leinster and Ulster - it will be shown in the club house from 4:30pm, after the 9's event.
