Lee Steele Re-Joins the club

Oxford City are pleased to announce the return of Lee Steele to the club.

The 36 year old Liverpool based striker who hit 21 league goals returns after starting the season at Evo-Stick Premier Ashton United.

The fan's favourite will be hoping to pick up where he left off last season when he joins the squad for Saturday's trip to Cirencester Town

"We are all delighted Lee has decided to return to the club" said Mike Ford
"Clearly our problems have been scoring goals and Lee in tandem with Mark Pritchard will provide us with a genuine goal threat, his return has come at a great time on the back of 2 wins"

Steele revealed the lengths City had gone to ensure his return and also revealed it is to be his final season before retiring

"Mike Ford hasn't left me alone since the start of the season so it was always a case of when not if" said Steele

"I'm happy to come back and try and help out and I have also decided it is going to be my last season."

He added: "A lot of the players have been on the phone saying 'When can you come back?' and hopefully I can get in there and score some goals."
