Vets still on Course for Treble
City Vets are still on course for the treble for the 2nd season running after the Over 40's won 3-1 away to Bampton Town in the Vets Hellenic league Knockout cup Semi-Final last night.
First half goals from Mark Orlando & Stuart Clarke sent City into the break 2-0 up.
An early goal in the 2nd half by Shaun Pearce effectively killed the game off, although Bampton did get a goal back mid way through the half through Daryl Kew, but City held on for a comfortable 3-1 win.
Team: Simon Pagano, Paul Creed, Andy Martin, Andy Cooper, Martin Smy, Stuart Clarke, Jason Caffel, Paul Spittle, Mark Orlando, Shaun Pearce, Dave Southam. Subs: Wayne Holden, Robert Tutton.
MOM: Mark Orlando
The Final is scheduled for next Wednesday May 9th at Didcot Town FC against Chinnor, kick-off 7.45PM.
