City played three tough games against an under strength Abingdon Youth, who they play again on the opening league game of the season.

There were three 15 minutes matches which finished 1-0, 3-0 and 2-0 to City, or 6-0 on aggregate.

The first game (Muzz, Tommy, Mari, Lucheus(1), Ajay, Connor, Kyle and Embers) was very close and could have gone either way, although City edged it 1-0.

The second game (Lucheus, Charlie, Matvey, Kyle, Tommy, Callum, Muzz(2) and Mari(1)) was a little easier and finished 3-0 to City.

The third and final game (Matvey, Ajay, Callum, Muzz, Embers(1), Charlie(1), Lucheus and Connor) saw City run out 2-0 winners, although Abingdon played with the same 8 players in all three games, and were visibly tiring at the end.

City now move on to play in their first ever competitive tournament at Rotherfield on Saturday 1st September, before welcoming Abingdon Youth back for the curtain raiser in the League on the 8th September.
