OUHC Women's Academy
The Academy squads are OUHC's development squads, where the best college players can train together, be coached by Blues and play in regular friendlies against other clubs. The squads are also reserve squads for the rest of the club, so if you want to push for a place in the regular teams, this is the way to get in.
Last season, the Academy's first, was a great success; after a lot of training, the squad debuted against local rivals Brookes, and won convincingly 3-1! Every player that came to training improved hugely over the course of the year, and will certainly be closer to full playing squads in 2012/13.
In the next few seasons, we want to add 4th teams to the club, and the Academy squads are the first step on the way to this; by helping to improve the pool of players in college hockey, we will put ourselves in a position for our new team to compete strongly in league matches.
