2nd Round - Youth and Experience
4th Grade Gold's last game of the first round saw 3 generations of rugby players take the field against Bayswater.
The result was of little consequence in a game that offered glimpses of what could be achieved with the right blend of youth and experience. Led on the field by thier coaches Frazer Smith and Daniel McMillan the U18 and U20 players brought much needed power and speed to support the experienced core of the 4th grade Gold team.
Special mentions go out to :
Chris Ward for coming to our aid as team manager,
Richard "Grizzily" Chilton for another solid game at base of the scrum,
The young outside centre who made ground every time he was given the opportunity. (Just like a young Millsy)
Nick "Bulldog" Bato for showing great strength in a try scoring performance (Just like a young Millsy).
And Millsy who was brilliant. (Just like a young Millsy)
We will be making a special effort to replicate the success of this game by continuing to develop our connection with the younger players and our upping our commitment to off field activities.
This week it's Wests at Home.
Bring it on!

Millsie
I am pretty sure the young outside centre was Tommy Foster from the U18's who had a great game, just like a young Millsie would have done all those years ago?
