If you missed last week’s thrilling South Yorkshire derby at Muglet Lane, chances are you’ve watched the comprehensive highlights package from Sam Varley’s tremendous NLTV channel, available on You Tube. Young Sam travels the length and breadth of the country filming our NCEL clubs in live action, and it was great to see him at Maltby last weekend, with one of the Miners’ massive cheeseburgers in one hand- and his camera in the other!!!.
When asked for his ambitions Sam said “As for the short term, the aim is to grow the channel as much as I can and establish contacts with many clubs at this level. In terms of a career, I love writing and reporting about football and I will be happy if that allows me to cover both the full-time game and semi-professional level, from NCEL to National League.
