2017/2018 season, another page waiting to be added for Parkgate FC

1969 September
Club formed from Parkgate Steelworks Wire Department, four times winners of National Wire Drawers Cup. Joining Division Two of the Hatchard League where they lost their first game to Telephone Sports 3-0 away.
1971
In the Sheffield & Hallamshire County F.A. Senior League
1973
Yorkshire League as B.S.C. Parkgate FC. This league was renamed the Northern Counties East Football League.
1979
Runners up in the Mexborough Montagu Hospital Cup
1983/4
Winners of the Rotherham Charity Cup
1987
Runners up in the Mexborough Montagu Hospital Cup
1991/2
Runners up in the Mexborough Montagu Hospital Cup
when they lost 2-1 to fellow Northern Counties East League team Brodsworth Miners Welfare.
1992
Floodlights installed at Roundwood home ground with David Bassett, then the manager of Sheffield United, bringing along the team for the switch on.
1996/97
Runners up Rotherham Charity Cup
1998/99
Winners of the Rotherham Charity Cup
1997/98
Lost in the final of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup Competition 3-0 to Emley, however they reached fourth place in the League their highest place for a number of years.
1998/1999
The final of the Wilkinson Sword Trophy they lost to Yorkshire Amateurs. After challenging for promotion all season they finished in fourth place again.
2001/2002
Russ Eagle takes over as Manager however March 2002 Russ left to become Assistant Manager at Belper Town with Stewart Evans stepping in as Manager
2003/04
Steelmen finish in eighth place.
2004/05
Stewart Evans and his assistant Vinnie Brady, after a run of bad results Stewart resigned leaving assistant Vinnie Brady holding the reins.
2005/06
The Steelmen finish in sixth position just missing out on a promotion place and lost 2-1 in the final of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup to an injury time goal.
2006/2007
Parkgate won the Wilkinson Sword Trophy and the Division One Championship this promoted them to the Premier Division.
The great surprise was the resignation of Team manager Vinnie Brady after a successful season.
2007/2008
Parkgate appointed assistant manager Russell Eagle to the position of team manager with Darren Grady becoming assistant manager.
Semi-finalists in the League Cup and County FA Senior Cup and finish 8th in the League however both Russell Eagle and Darren Grady resigned at the end of the season to concentrate on their business commitments.
2008/09
Sean Hutchinson appointed as manager with Wilf Race as assistant manager however at the end of the season Wilf Race left to be appointed manager of Hallam FC. Mark Smith became assistant manager but due to a string of poor results and an 8-3 defeat at Hall Road Rangers FC in October 2009 Sean Hutchinson tendered his resignation.
2009/10
Russell Eagle appointed Team Manager for his second stint at the Club and Darren Bonnington as Assistant Manager but in June 2010 Russell Eagle resigned as Manager at Parkgate FC to take over as Manager of newly promoted Division One side Handsworth FC.
2010/11
The Steelmen then appoint Douglas Shelley from AFC Celtic, with Wilf Race as his Assistant for Season 2010/2011. The season proved to be the most successful in the club’s history due to the new look squad and the Steelmen finished second in the NCEL Premier and reached the final of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup Final at Hillsborough.
Parkgate enjoyed another successful campaign with a solid top half finish and a good run in the FA Vase. The Steelmen looked to improve on the last season with Doug bringing in several exciting new players and appointing former Macclesfield Town manager Gary Simpson as his assistant.
2012/13
October 2012 Doug Shelley resigns from his role at Parkgate being replaced by Russ Eagle for his third spell at the club.
2013/16
Steve Adams appointed, 20th position in the league in 2013/4, moved up to 15th position in 2015/2016. Following a disappointing start to the 2016 season, Steve Adams and Gary Middleton both resigned.
2016/17
The club appoints Graham Nicholas as manager and Ross Shelton as assistant manager to go forward with the assistance of Shannon Brooks, sports therapist.
