A late Haydn Ward goal secures the win for Parkgate, going home with all three points away at Ollerton.

Seconds into the game, Ollerton went one up when they received a penalty. Lewis Bingham's penalty was saved by Parkgate keeper' Chris Butt, however it didn't matter when Ollerton striker Gavin King got on the rebound and gave the home team a very early one-nil lead. After the very earlier set-back for Parkgate, striker Bruno Holden levelled the scoreline in the 12th minute. After some good play for the visitors, Holden found himself with time on the right hand side of the opposition half and he put in a good cross, which Ollerton right-back Tom Moody could only fire past his own keeper, and give Parkgate a 1-2 lead. However, that lead was only to last 2 minutes when start from kick-off, the ball was played long down the channel, behind the Parkgate back line and Matt Crookes missed timed a tackle inside the penalty area, leaving the referee with no choice but to point to the spot. Ollerton captain stepped up this time and he calmly sent Butt the wrong way, firing the ball into the bottom right corner. With the scoreline 2-2, Parkgate had one more chance before the interval, and Holden hit the ball well but Owlerton keeper' Ben Woodcock was equal to the effort and he saved well down to his right, pushing the ball away, before it was cleared by defender.

Half-Time: Ollerton Town 2-2 Parkgate

Parkgate came out the much stronger side, having most of the ball in the opening 10 or so minutes of the second half, with Bruno Holden having two good chances saved by keeper Woodcock. The game then became much more scrappy in the middle of the park and neither team were able to create any real clear-cut chances. With around 10 minutes left, Holden again linked up brilliantly with Brandon Bagley, who squared the ball across the box to Holden, who could only fire the shot over the bar. The game looked to be heading to a point each but when Parkgate got a free-kick on the left hand side of the Ollerton half, Parkgate captain Elliott Simpson crossed the ball in, with 4 minutes left on the clock, which last weekend's scorer Haydn Ward managed to get his head on the ball and guide it home to send the Steelmen home with all 3 points.
