Tomorrow Parkgate travel to 16th place Armthorpe Welfare in the league. The Steelmen are looking to make it five consecutive wins in the league, after wins against Glasshoughton, Ollerton, FC Bolsover & Selby.

Andy Dawson takes his lads to Armthorpe in confidence after Tuesdays 0-3 win away to Selby Town, which saw us move up four places, into 9th place.

Tomorrow’s opponents, Armthorpe Welfare, currently sitting 16th in the league with 20 points from their 19 games. (P19 W6 D2 L11). Armthorpe are winless in six league games losing to Shirebrook, Nostell, Rossington Main, East Yorkshire Carnegie, and Hallam (x2). They have conceded 37 goals in 7 games and look poor at home against the stronger sides in recent weeks. Parkgate have now started to score multiple goals in games, beating Selby 0-3 and FC Bolsover 4-1. Armthorpe’s last win was at home to in-form Dronfield Town so they do have the quality to beat very decent sides at home.

Parkgate have moved away from the relegation zone, currently 14 points away from 19th place Harworth Colliery, with a game in hand. Parkgate are now looking up at the teams above them because there is no limit on where we can go this season, and the current run of 4 wins, if added to, could see the Steelmen climb the table even more and start to compete with top sides in the league.
