Have you taken a GOOD look at your gloves lately ?? ...Are they clean ? ....Is the latex on the fingers or palms damaged ?...... Do they actually fit properly ?
Having a good quality pair of gloves can make all the difference to a goalkeepers performance. A poor pair of gloves could lead to you losing grip and dropping the ball at the attackers feet or the ball slipping through your fingers. Worn latex on the fingers and palms is normal but eventually will lead to extreme loss of grip and possibly even finger and hand injuries due to the lack of padding and support.
Nowadays you can pay over £120 per pair.
Do you need to spend that much on 1 pair ? In my opinion......NO !!
A decent pair with a well known brand name such as Sells, Uhlsport or Adidas may cost you around £40-£50.
