Honours even Report by Jamie Duncan

Paulton Rovers welcomed Bristol Manor Farm to Winterfield Road in a tightly contested match that ended up with both teams sharing the points.

It was Manor Farm who took the lead after 5 minutes from a close range strike.

It took Paulton time to react to going a goal down with Manor Farm breaking down Rovers build up play and creating the better of the opportunities.

The final 15 minutes saw Rovers begin to get their passing game going, causing greater threat to the Manor Farm defence. Paulton were rewarded in the final 5 minutes of the half; a pinpoint cross from Kieron Axford and striker James Phillips rising above the defender to head in at the back post.

Both teams knew going into the second half that significant improvement was required to win the game. Rovers started the second half the stronger of the teams, winning the midfield battle.

However neither side could find that final ball in the final third in order to secure the three points. In the end a share of the points was a fair outcome from the game.
