Rovers go nap again Report by Wayne Roberts

Paulton Rovers Sunday XI have now it 25 goals in the last two matches. Following last weeks 12-0 win they beat Sporting Glassonia 13-1 at Winterfield Road.

After last weeks convincing win Paulton fancied their chances against one of the leagues weaker sides, but they made it rather hard going from the start.

A few loose passes and probably a half a yard slower than normal saw them now and again under pressure.

It was on the quarter hour mark when Paulton took the lead with a superb strike from Baber.

It wasn't long until Paulton went further ahead when Doyle netted after a little jinking run, beating three defenders before finishing in style.

Further goals in the first half from James, Boucher, Tyler and a second from Baber saw Paulton 6-0 up at half time.

Paulton dominated the second half playing their flowing style of football, and with the advantage of 5 substitutes at their disposal the scoreline grew.

A further 7 goals were scored, 1 from goalkeeper Curtis from the penalty spot. It could have been more if Paulton had their shooting boots on.

A missed tackle from James in defence saw Glassonia snatch a goal, but after scoring 25 goals in the last 2 games, Paulton are beginning to show signs of confidence and improvement.

Team from :- Curtis, Callaghan, James, Johnson, Filer, King, Baber, J Rothwell, Doyle, Jenkins, Tyler, Ford, Harrison, Rudd, S Rothwell, Bale, Tovey.
