For the third game running Paulton were away from home, this time playing at Mells. TF 2 have been doing rather well this season so Paulton were not looking to repeat their 6-0 dmolition at the beginning of the season.
With a slightly understrength side Paulton coped well with the attacks that Frome put together. It was Paulton that took the lead with good work up the left from Gould and Rothwell, Rothwell eventually crossing to Jenkins who finished off rather cooly with a lob over the Frome keeper. The first half ended with Paulton leading a tight and really good game.
Second half Frome pressed hard to equalise but again strong defending from both Paultons mid field and defence kept them out. However Frome did get back into the game through a penalty that was awarded after Deane was judged to handball after raising his hand to protect his face from a fierce shot. Cooly despatched to Calaghans left the penalty slightly deflated Paulton but they kept going.
A dubious off side decision against Broadway dyring the latter stages of the game stopped Paulton leaving with all 3 points as Broadway scored with a cracking left foot shot.
Paulton now have three games left this season in which they hope to seal fourth place in the table with positive results.
