Get to A46/A52 junction Saxondale Roundabout.
Take A46 towards Newark. At the next island turn left onto A6097 towards Doncaster.
Keep going over the bridge over the Trent, through Lowdham (over island) and on towards Oxton village (passing over a further mini roundabout on route).
At the traffic island at Oxton turn left towards Calverton (B6386).Take the second turning on the right into Whinbush Lane. Continue along Whinbush Lane until you arrive at a roundabout.
Take the first turning off the roundabout onto the A614 towards Nottingham. Pass a petrol station on your right and go on and up a left bearing small incline. At the top of the incline turn right at the junction(signposted Papplewick and Police Headquarters).
This is Burnstump Hill. Around 400 yards further, at the first building on the left hand side turn left down the lane signposted to Cockliffe Hotel. NOTE PHOTOS. (If you go down the hill you have gone too far.)
Follow the lane around to the right being careful of sleeping policemen and potholes. When you see the ground keep it on the left and it will lead you straight to the car park and clubhouse.
If coming by coach it is advisable to leave the coach at the entrance end by the school as it will be difficult to turn around once in the ground.
