What was the same - we lost by a converted score, never stopped until the game was 7 minutes into overtime, had some magnificent set play, we lacked a little bit of nouse' when it came to the scoring zone. The performance was better than the result.

What was different - this felt a whole load different.
We had a bench (4 players). This causes some frustration but makes a huge difference. We know everyone wants to play all the time - and will always make sure everyone get's their fare share of game time over the year. But in a tough, competitve game (Sleaford will be as tough), it's about a squad not a 15 and yesterday prooved it.
We had more possession than in any other game this season and pretty much stuck to our game plan.
We made good yards from the backs and generally defended well against a strong set of opposing numbers who looked dangerous every time they got the ball.

Man of the Match was Shane, great ball carrying and a key member of a very dominant set of forwards.
Shit Head was Dom for his drop - although if he had not had to leave early Isaac would have run him very close for the kick off!

Thank you's go to Jonno from the under 15's who never looked like he was playing a year above and got a try to add to the experience.
Thank you to Ross who kept going on his bad ankle and epitomised the attitude we need.
Thank you to all of you for concentrating on getting into the game when we could have been distracted (as we have been in the past)
Thank you to Decatholon for my £10 hangover hiders that did a sterling job.

Things to work on:
Punctuality.
Supping - we are pretty naff at downing a pint of pop, this needs working on as you progress to Senior ranks.
